About the Journal
The Journal of Education, Society & Sustainable Practice (JESSP) is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal that examines how education and societal practices contribute to advancing sustainability. It bridges scientific research and community education by featuring work that connects sustainable development principles with educational theory and practice. JESSP serves as a platform for scholars, educators, policymakers, and practitioners to collaborate in empowering individuals and communities to address sustainability challenges.
Mission
The JESSP’s mission is to provide a platform to advance high-quality research and innovative educational practices focused on sustainability. We are committed to exploring discoveries at the intersections of education, society, and development by supporting scholarship that drives social, economic, and environmental progress. Through collaboration and knowledge-sharing, we aim to empower students, educators, researchers, policymakers, individuals, and communities to respond to the world’s pressing challenges.
Vision
Our vision is to shape a future where the gap is bridged between education, societal needs, and sustainability, and education becomes a powerful catalyst for sustainable development. The JESSP envisages to become a globally recognized journal that informs, and also inspires action, encouraging the integration of sustainable development goals (SDGs) into educational frameworks to build resilient, equitable, and thriving communities for future generations.
Aims and Scope
JESSP publishes original research, reviews, and policy articles that examine the role of education in promoting sustainability across various societal sectors. The journal also publishes editorials, written by the editorial team or guest contributors, from time to time, to address current trends or challenges in education for sustainability and set the tone for the journal issue, highlight key themes, or reflect on recent developments.
